I also got a bit bored of the major battle scenes - basically three major battles or escape scenarios each took up about 30% of the book and covered a total time of 30 minutes in their time. I actually really liked all of the side characters and wish I got to know them better. However, I was not a huge fan of the main character I found him whiny and judgmental.
